Akram Mikhaeel Al Najar was born on January 1, 1958, in Duhok, Iraq, to a Christian Chaldean family with deep roots in the region, having lived there for over 200 years. He completed his primary, intermediate, and secondary education in the Duhok Governate before entering Baghdad University in 1979, where he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Politics with a degree in Law in 1982. Since 1989, he has been successfully practicing law and has been actively involved in the Jurists Union, where he was elected twice to the administrative body of the Dohuk branch. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Mikhaeel has shared his expertise through numerous TV seminars on Kurdistan TV, written articles for various magazines, including the Voice of the Chaldeans and the Nohadra Social Club Magazine. Additionally, he has participated in interviews for local newspapers, contributing significantly to the legal and social discourse in the region. Akram Mikhaeel Al Najar is a distinguished legal professional with over forty years of dedicated service to Iraq. He has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of the legal profession by participating as a lecturer for graduating lawyers, guiding them in their practice. In 2004, he was nominated to serve as a legal advisor for a judicial committee formed by coalition forces to address real estate property claims, following a rigorous selection process among over eighty applicants. Additionally, Mr. Mikhaeel was elected as the head of the legal department for the Civil Rights Organization in Dohuk, further demonstrating his commitment to civil rights and justice in the region. Today, he continues to practice law across various areas, earning the trust and respect of his community.
